  • Sustainable Tourism Strategy

    The tourism strategy was finalised in June 2009 from an initial suggestion made through the business forum. The idea had been developed through a marketing seminar and detailed sessions with businesses.

    An outline of what the strategy should contain had been developed with the forum:

        * What is the current tourism activity?
        * What’s the potential?
        * How could we make more of current assets
        * What we can do now?
        * Menu of further activity
        * Framework for action

    The strategy was commissioned from Su Beswick, sustainable marketing consultant.. Su has extensive relevant experience: South Hams DC tourism marketing, development of green tourism in the area, knowledge and links with local businesses and a national profile in sustainable tourism development.
